Welcome

I and my colleagues wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year.

They are many challenges facing us in the coming months, which will test our ability to keep Crick the village that we know and enjoy so much.   It’s location in the centre of the country, with excellent transport links, brings more and more development to the area and we know that it will be a fight to ensure that we retain the character that makes the village so popular.

Much is said by politicians about the “Localism Bill”, and what it will bring to small communities such as ours, but we see little evidence so far, of any commitment to its aims by either the Local or District Authority.  Our voice seems seldom heard! 

Many cuts have been made by these Authorities to enable them to balance their budgets. One is to stop advising neighbours when planning applications are made for changes to property adjacent to them.... (continued here)
